Our guest teacher is none other than world famous Mister Nelson Campos!

Nelson de Oliveira Campos
UKA certified professional teacher at all levels. Founder and Director of Kent Salsa &  Kizomba. From the West African country of Guinea-Bissau, Nelson was born a dancer. With his family he moved to Lisbon, Portugal at an early age. Nelson has been living in the UK since 1999. He has been dancing Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata and Merengue all his life. His teaching experience dates back more than 15 years. He has been teaching all over Europe ever since, and is well known for his energetic classes, full of fun and his extraordinary patience and passion for teaching and dancing.

More than anything, Nelson is world famous as one of today's best Kizomba instructors. He is regularly giving Kizomba Workshops abroad and performing shows internationally. He is working with the UKA, teaching, training and examining dance teachers to become certified Kizomba teachers. Nelson produced the first ever English professional instructional Kizomba DVD with his partner Sophia and has since got Kizomba DVD Levels I, II, III & IV on the market.

Jessica Sylvester
Jessica has been dancing and performing in Ballroom, Latin American, Disco, Jazz, Freestyle and Ballet from a very young age. Jessica is B-Tech qualified in Performing arts. Salsa started as a hobby in 2007 and she got hooked immediately and is now teaching for Kent Salsa and Kent Adult Education in Folkestone. Jessica’s fun, free spirit and outgoing personality is always visible in her smile and adds to her teaching skills.

Salima Kassam
Salima Kassam was born in Penang, Malaysia and her passion for dance began from the time her mother complained of the unbearable kicking during pregnancy!

UKA qualified, Salima delivers classes in Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rueda, Bachatango and Kizomba with over 10 years' dance experience.

Salima is known for previous showcases in Argentine Tango and has taught workshops at corporate and private events. Her lessons concentrate on timing and technique, conveyed with style and a smile.

The objective is to include elements that can heighten confidence levels in all walks of everyday life, and the aim is for them to be fun, friendly and full of zest. Some of the organisations Salima has been working with are Salsa Latino, Salsa Machine, SalsaMish, & Salsatheque

Monthly classes in Kizomba are as follows:
18:30-19:30 Beginners/beyond beginners (Never danced Kizomba, or just know the basic steps)
18:30-19:30 Improvers (Comfortable with basic steps, Saida, Samba, Come and Go)
20:00-21:00 Intermediate/advanced (Been dancing for 2 months onwards, and are very comfortable with all the above improvers' moves)

We may also run a second hour of Beyond Beginners & Improvers class now that we have not one, not two, but three teachers :)

Sat 11th Feb, Intensive Complete beginners/beginners Salsa workshops;  @ St Pauls Centre, 2-6pm

This 4-hour workshop is aimed at those who have never danced Salsa or are new to Salsa and those who have done 4/5 weeks of Salsa. For those who are new to Salsa, why not try this intensive workshop to see if Salsa dancing is for you! For those who have done a bit of Salsa, here is a great opportunity to fast track learn new techniques and help you in moving to the higher level. We want to limit the number of participants, so we can give you more individual input, and there will be plenty of time dedicated to practice what you have been taught.
